Loving My Body

This is a little bit of a continuation from the article “Loving Your Body” because in spite of a woman’s body being connected to a man spiritually, it is also as beautiful as creations in the Earth too.

So like King Solomon wrote:

2 Your navel is like a rounded goblet;

It lacks no blended beverage.

Your waist is a heap of wheat

Set about with lilies.

3 Your two breasts are like two fawns,

Twins of a gazelle.

4 Your neck is like an ivory tower,

Your eyes like the pools in Heshbon

By the gate of Bath Rabbim.

Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon

Which looks toward Damascus.

5 Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel,

And the hair of your head is like purple;

A king is held captive by your Tresses.

Song of Solomon 7: 2 – 5

A goblet is ~ a bowl – shaped drinking vessel with no handles.

A heap of wheat and Lilies:

Mount Carmel:

The excellence of Carmel and Sharon

The definition of Excellent is ~

possessing outstanding quality or superior merit; remarkably good.

The archaic meaning is ~ extraordinary; superior

Merit means ~ claim to respect and praise; excellence; worth

So if Mount Carmel is considered excellent, then King Solomon must have been referring to a woman’s head crowning her in Excellency.

The color purple is associated with Royalty:

So the hair of a Woman’s head is like Royalty.

If you can find beauty in the Earth, you can find it on your body too.

A Psalm of David

Psalm 139:14

I will Praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Marvelous are Your Works, And that my soul knows very well.
